Who is Abdul?

Abdul is a thoughtful and enthusiastic individual who believes in a well-rounded approach to tackling life's challenges. He places great importance on the "mind-body-soul" connection, which he sees as key to leading a fulfilling life. This belief is clearly reflected in his chosen pursuits, which bring him a profound sense of contentment. With boundless enthusiasm, Abdul actively engages in research, podcasting, and fitness, considering each endeavor an essential part of his personal journey.

Mind: Research

I nurture the "Mind" aspect of my mind-body-soul connection through the simple yet powerful practice of using my intellect. It's a straightforward concept, really. I find immense satisfaction in delving deep into topics that genuinely captivate me. One such area that enthralls me is neuropsychological research. I'm genuinely fascinated by the reasons behind people's actions and what drives them to do what they do. Understanding these intricacies is a never-ending journey that constantly feeds my intellectual curiosity.

Body: Fitness

Through the pursuit of physical fitness, I have discovered a remarkable tool for alleviating mental and emotional stress. Whether it is the everyday burdens or the deeply ingrained pressures, engaging in vigorous exercise has proven to be my personal panacea. The healing and joy that accompany my fitness journey even motivated me to participate in a powerlifting competition in September 2021, where I proudly secured the first-place position as evidenced in the accompanying picture.
My first powerlifting competition!
Alongside my role as a powerlifter and a full-time college student, I also served as a personal trainer, allowing me to directly impact the lives of my clients by teaching them the physical aspects of fitness and, more profoundly, its role in nurturing the mind and soul.
The youngest personal trainer to make it to the trainer board :)
Among the myriad of meaningful encounters I had, one particularly stands out. It involved a client grappling with severe clinical depression. They confided in me that through his engagement with fitness and our joint exercise sessions, his symptoms experienced a remarkable reduction, opening up a brighter, more positive perspective on life. Below is a quote from them.

"I signed up for a trainer just about a year ago at this location and had a great experience. Abdul was a relatively new employee to 24 hour fitness but was very passionate about helping people with their fitness goals. It showed. Abdul was especially great at listening to the goals and continuously considered my needs from day to day while adjusting everything from intensity, weight, activity approach and variety in order to keep me safe. Interested and progressing in fitness. He was always on time and also flexible with the schedule. Abdul was extremely knowledgeable and was patient to explain aspects of the exercise and correlation to the body when I showed interest. He provided great tips about healthy nutrition and how to stay engaged even when traveling or when I can't get to the gym. I always felt motivated by h is encouraging words and exceeded my own expectations. I highly recommend working with Abdul at this location if you are looking for a highly trained and professional guide to help you grow to be more healthy." - Former client

Soul: Podcast

I believe meaningful socialization with others is like nourishment for the soul. It is through connection, conversation, and shared experiences that our spirits come alive. In the company of others, we find understanding, support, and a sense of belonging. It is in these interactions that we discover new perspectives, learn from diverse backgrounds, and forge meaningful relationships. The importance of socializing lies in the enrichment it brings to our lives, nurturing our souls with laughter, empathy, and the beauty of human connection.
